I always wanted to photograph my wedding dress before packing it away for good, so when I was cleaning out my closet this last spring I knew it was time. When I originally planned to photograph this dress I was thinking something simple and small with just a bouquet and a beautiful back drop. Yet, when Taylor from Social Calendar Events reached out wanting to team up, it was time to go big or go home.
We then teamed up with a brand new wedding venue in Langley, British Columbia, called the Manor Venue, and that’s where the theme ‘Rustic Meets Modern Luxe’ was born. We offset the interior of the barn and the rustic fireplace with elegant table place settings, modern stationary, and black modern décor. The lounge area flaunted pops of pink with a 3-tiered pink and black marble cake, and pink cocktails to match. For the ceremony space we wanted to ensure that the Manor Venue’s chandeliers were on full display. The floral arrangements and chairs gave the ceremony space the modern touch it needed. Lastly, we ended the night with the groom whisking the bride away in a classic black Porsche.
We are beyond proud of this editorial as it was then published and featured in Rocky Mountain Bride.
