This Golden Ears Park Engagement session almost didn’t happen, but the weather gods ended up on our side. Madison, Jeremy, and I originally planned this engagement session to happen over Thanksgiving weekend as they were coming over from Vancouver island to the mainland. Yet living in the PNW you can never plan for perfect weather. The day before the session came and the weather forecast called for rain. I don’t mind a light rainy session, but the forecast called for a torrential down pour. Since Madison and Jeremy were only in town for one extra day, we opted for a sunrise session the next day. Wow, did the weather deliver at Golden Ears Park!
It was an early 6am meet up, but we wanted to start shooting right as the sun started to rise. We first headed to the lake where the fog rolled over the water and sun started coming out from over the mountains. We then went to one of my favorite trails where the sun beamed through the tall trees. This engagement shoot has quickly become one of my favorite sessions. It has inspired me shoot at sunrise more often.
